Planning and Publishing

In order to make social media work for your business, you must be consistent with posting. In doing so, you are giving your brand an opportunity to be discovered by future customers.

Publishing can be as simple as sharing a blog on your socials or posting a five-second video. By doing this, you are maximizing your reach on social media.

Lastly, you need to make sure you post your content. There are a number of platforms you can use to schedule your content, just do some research on which will work best for you.

Listening and Engaging

As your business grows, people will start talking about it. Some will comment on your posts, tag you in their own posts and even direct message you. If it’s a positive comment, acknowledge it with joy and happiness. If it’s a not-so-nice comment, still address it and offer support to correct the situation before it gets worse.

Analytics and Reporting

After posting for a month or so, you’ll want to see how your posts are performing. Are you reaching enough people? Are you reaching the right people? Once you have posted for at least two months, you should be able to compare your analytics to the month before.

Advertising

Once you’ve established everything listed above, you might want to consider advertising on certain platforms. This will allow you to reach a wider audience other than the people who currently follow or like your page. You can target demographics, interests, behaviors and more.
